After a long and successful career at Sainsbury’s Glyn joined Wagamama as their first HRD when the estate totalled 30 restaurants and left 11 years and 100 openings later as their COO. He is now the managing director for Caffè Nero UK where he sits on the main board and is responsible for the 634 coffee houses in the UK and works with the management team at Coffee#1 to expand this brand from its current footprint of 130 stores. Caffè Nero was started by Gerry Ford in 1997 and is the largest independent coffee house group in Europe. It operates 1,150 stores across 11 countries and remains a family-owned business.
