Mat is managing director of Cornish Bakery, which was recently cited as one of the only UK hospitality companies in the 2024 Top 100 Interpath Retail Growth Index. Previously commercial and marketing director at Warner Leisure Hotels, part of the Bourne Leisure Group, Mat has over 20 years of experience of commercial leadership, driving growth and profitability, in the leisure, hospitality, retail, and tech sectors. Since joining Cornish Bakery in June 2024, he has overseen several new bakery openings, accelerated premium NPD and driven record-breaking summer and October half-term sales to exceed £1m per week, with a like-for-like growth of 26%. Cornish Bakery, which currently has around 65 shops, opened six new sites in 2024 and has at least 10 in the pipeline for 2025.
