David was appointed group chairman of Ole & Steen / Lagkagehuset parent company Danish Bake Holdings in May 2023. He previously led PizzaExpress as CEO from 2020, overseeing a year of transformation at the casual dining brand, and restructuring its debt. He was appointed CEO of Richard Caring's Ivy Collection in 2018, also chairing Bill's. Before that he spearheaded the resurgence of Wagamama from 2013, foe which he was awarded MCA's Retailer’s Retailer of the Year award in 2017.
